I can only imagine what Rodner Figueroa called me after this photo of us was taken.
“A hideous bag,” he might have said, “and the clutch is awful, too.” He would’ve been right about the clutch.
It’s time to deface this photo in light of his recent derogatory remarks about Michelle Obama. Appropriately, Univision fired Rodner Figueroa after he said:
You know Michelle Obama looks like she is of the cast of “The Planet Of The Apes,” pointing to a picture of the First Lady.
Now, some people are defending him with a casual, “Everyone makes mistakes.” Yes, his mistake was revealing his blatant ignorance. And with mistakes come consequences. Perhaps he should grab a meal with Paula Deen and land himself a job at FOXNEWS.

I hate the excuse that everyone makes mistakes, or that we all did stupid things when we were young. When I was a child, I made a mistake by jokingly saying to an overweight friend, “You should talk,” after she commented that one of my dolls was fat. THAT was a mistake. Bumping into someone you didn’t see, is a mistake. Mixing up the time you’re supposed to meet a friend for coffee and being late, is a mistake. Saying someone looks like an animal, when you’re an adult and the person you’re speaking of is FLOTUS is NOT a mistake. I will not be accepting his apology, which we know will be coming, if it hasn’t already.
OK, hate to be superficial here but, I have to know, what mascara are you wearing!? You look great!
