Am I the only one psycho enough to bake a Whiteout cake after baking a Blackout cake from scratch, fearing that the dark chocolate cake will be too rich to take?
Had I been a planner, I’d have baked the Blackout center (of very moist, dark chocolate cake made with Valrhona cocoa and strong coffee, layered with a milky homemade chocolate pudding) and topped the whole cake with white chocolate frosting and dark chocolate cake crumbs.
Normal people would cut cake with whipped cream. Me? I cut cake with cake. That’s like chasing a shot with a glass of Patron.
