new york food roundups

Roundup. It’s an appropriate enough word all right. A roundup of the best dishes and drinks is exactly what your round rump needs as it hides in lumpy corduroy. Current weight: 140 lbs. Rounded up to the nearest whole number. While I may be rounder this year, I’m also far happier. Boca sucked sleigh-balls. Of course I can say this now, with apple picking and spiced lattes, golden cinnamon afternoons of jazz and museums in New York. Come frozen snot on my upper lip in January, I may be sporting the ever fashionable rosy sunglasses, dreaming of flip-flops and palms. But I’ll enjoy this New York life now that it’s mine again.

Michelin Guide

I intend to once again eat all of New York. Perhaps I’ll become a food critic again (I wouldn’t dare). Starting with a hopscotch through NYC’s recently released Michelin starred restaurants. Mmm, Sushi of Gari. I used to hit that place every Thursday afternoon, after a weigh-in with the Diet Dictator of the Upper East Side for two spicy tuna rolls. I am so lucky to be back. Now, I’m off to stalk Thomas Keller, my food god.
