Wait for the bit where I say, "Not to start plugging my next book already," and then watch how I do exactly that. Smooth, huh? And look for the new cover!

  1. Stephanie, you are so comfortable in front of a crowd, you seem to be totally at ease. I'd be hiding behind a book shelf. Confidence is a great thing to have. Can't wait for Moose.!

  2. Hi Stephanie! I am so looking forward to reading Moose and can I just say I LOVE the new cover!! I live in NY in Brewster so I will be sure to hop on the train to NYC to meet you at Borders! So excited!! Hope you and the beans are doing well and are all over your colds….

  3. Wahhhhh….I am moving from Houston to SF and don't want to miss you. Any chance you will be in the San Francisco bay area? Pleeezzzeee! :)

  4. Yay! I love Bookpeople. Will look forward to seeing you in May! Luckily I won't have to travel very far.

  5. I like that cover so much better. You do well in speaking in front of people. Little disappointed that Atlanta isnt on the list (fuck you!) but ah well I'll get over it.
Someone commented on your scrapbook by the way over at my blog stating yours is "unfuckingbelievable"
She's a lurker I told about your site. Good luck with the tour. Will you bring the babies with you to any of the cities?

  6. i am a daily reader, never posted before. I loved straight up and diry and cant wait for Moose. When does it come out? I am in NYC and my office is close to Columbus Circle so i will definitely be there.

  7. I'm going to do my best to come see you somewhere…hopefully you'll get closer to Springfield, Massachusetts??? Hartford isn't too far and neither is Albany, NY. Just a thought. Although, it doesn't take too much arm twisting to get me to NYC. :)

  8. I just read an article about you in a british tabloid and came to your blog. I love your writing and can't wait to read MOOSE. I'll be in L.A. this summer and hopefully catch your reading.

  9. Any chance you'd do a book on cd? From seeing your video it would go over great. you are so expressive and natural. Denver in June is nice…

  10. OMG you're supposed to be in NY the day after I give birth!?!?!?!?! Maybe she'll come early or a little later… What will I do? Argggh!

  11. Yay for D.C. Got it on my calendar. It took me awhile, but I finally bought your book on Sunday. I just love your writing. I've been reading excerpts to my roommates. :)

  12. Stephanie,

I don't see any plans for Mpls/St. Paul; is that an option? Also, I've been wondering, since your first memoir was so closely related to the blog, and included a lot of sexy, "juicy" material, as compared to a memoir more related to self-esteem, adolescence, etc., do you think "Moose" will attract a different audience?

    Best wishes,
    Nicole

  13. How about Cincinnati? I tried to do the "demand me" thing you sent over myspace, but it kept asking for my friends' e-mail addresses. Not too comfortable with that, so I am commenting here to "DEMAD YOU"!! I would love to see you in Cincinnati!

  14. Sigh. Pittsburgh anyone? If you're here, call the Joseph-Beth store in the Southside Works and talk to the marketing dept.

Stephanie, Pittsburgh is lovely that time of year…

  15. Also, I was delighted to find out that my federal employer has barred your "first time visitor" page- it is listed a "malicious site," whatever that means.

  16. I used to live in DC…there's a great restaurant on the Hill called Sonoma…fabulous wines and cheeses (and a killer menu in general). It's my #1 stop when I'm there for a work or a friendly visit. They have a great private event loft space upstairs!

  17. Yay!! Why no cocktail party in Austin? Can we have a Hotel SJ afterparty?

I love the video, loved reliving how excited you were that night in NYC, and I think the cover of Moose is incredible.

    Bravo!

  18. Minneapolis should really be on the list! I talked to someone at B&N about you. Perhaps mention it to the publicity dept.

  19. How do we convince your publisher that Atlanta is the pace to be! I'd bring at least 20 friends who love your blog.

  20. How do we convince your publisher that Atlanta is the pace to be! I'd bring at least 20 friends who love your blog.

  21. I loved your reading in Chicago last year. I was in the back row and super nervous to meet you when you signed my copy of SUAD. I can already think of oodles of places better than D.O.C. to take you on the 6th or 7th – whether it be creative pizza, orange-flavored cuisines or just a bevy of martini options. I think you'll love the warm weather here as opposed to the muck from last year. So exited!
